Threadpaintings
Being self taught, I never learned what not to do.
The concepts for the work kept evolving, so it was important to push the technique to match the intensity of the concept. Thread painting uses the sewing machine as a drawing tool. It allows for intense detail, and captures my intention very well. Technically, a basic sewing machine is used (no computers!); the detail is achieved by changing the thread color and stitching back and forth to blend and create shapes.
